A survey of electrical contractors

Be the electrician the search finds first.

When a breaker trips or half the house goes dark, a homeowner searches before they call anyone. I build the site, wire up the automations, and keep your Google profile accurate so you're the name that comes back.

Card on file, nothing charged for 14 days. Site live on your domain before day 14, or the first month is free.

The lost job

Sunday, 1pm. The kitchen outlets die and the breaker won't reset.

This happens to electrical contractors every week. Not because the work is bad. Because your electricians are on a service call and nobody is at the phone.

  1. 1:04pmA homeowner's kitchen outlets go dead on a breaker that won't hold. She grabs her phone.
  2. 1:06pmShe searches "electrician near me" and calls the first result, a one-person electrical company. He's mid-diagnosis on a panel across town, phone in the truck.
  3. 1:08pmIt rings out. His voicemail box is full from a run of storm calls last week, so it doesn't even take a message.
  4. 1:11pmShe calls the second number on the list. A dispatcher picks up and says someone can be there today.
  5. 1:14pmShe books it on that call. No third number gets tried.
  6. 3:30pmThe second company's electrician finds a failed double-pole breaker, swaps it, and collects $340. The first electrician finishes his job at 4, checks his phone, and sees one missed call with no voicemail.
Where the calls go

Three places electrical contractors lose work they already earned.

You can't answer a phone with your hands in a panel.

A homeowner's outlet dies, she calls the first name on her search, and you're mid-diagnosis with the cover off. She hangs up at the fourth ring and calls the next number down the list.

Your Google profile still says 2019.

The hours are wrong, the service list is missing panel upgrades and EV chargers, and the last photo shows a truck you traded in two trucks ago. Homeowners check the profile before they call, not after.

Good jobs come and go with nothing to show for them.

You swap a panel, the customer's thrilled, and nobody asks for a review before you're back in the truck. A competitor with forty reviews shows up above you for the same search six months later.
What gets built during the trial

A site for an electrical contractor, page by page.

Built on your own domain, on accounts you own. Leave later and it is yours for $299, one time.

PageWhy it is there
HomeStates what you do and where, with panel upgrades and EV chargers named up front instead of buried under a generic "services" link.
ServicesPanel upgrades, rewiring, EV charger installs, troubleshooting, and generator hookups each get their own section, so each can answer its own search.
EV ChargersEV charger installs are their own search now. A dedicated page catches the driveway-charger searches your homepage alone won't.
Service AreaNames your towns by name (Delafield, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, Hartland, Waukesha, or wherever you actually run trucks) so local search has something to match.
ReviewsPulls your real Google reviews onto the site instead of leaving them stranded where only Google shows them.
AboutLicense number, years licensed, and a real photo, the details a homeowner checks before letting anyone into a breaker panel.
Contact / BookOne form, a phone number that actually rings you, no gate before someone can reach you.
Emergency / After-HoursGives the half-the-house-dark-on-a-Sunday search an answer instead of a dead end.

Running from day 10

  • Missed-call text-back

Every call you miss while you're inside a panel gets an instant text back: who you are, that you saw the call, and a link to book. Most people never leave a voicemail. This is the save.

  • Instant reply to every form

A homeowner filling out your contact form at 9pm about a tripped breaker gets a reply in under a minute, not tomorrow morning after she's already booked someone else.

  • Review requests after every job

After a panel swap or an EV charger install, a text goes out asking for a review while the job's still fresh. That's how the review count climbs without you remembering to ask.

  • Google Business Profile, kept accurate

Hours, service area, and services (panel upgrades, EV chargers, generator hookups) stay current, with photos that aren't three trucks old. I check it monthly so it doesn't drift back to wrong.

What Grow adds, $297/mo

  • Lead qualification and scheduling, so a call about a dead outlet doesn't sit in your inbox until you're done for the day.
  • Quote follow-up on every panel upgrade or rewire estimate you send, automatically.
  • One new local page a month, built around a specific job type or town.
  • A monthly report in plain numbers: calls, reviews, and where the leads came from.
Two plans, one price sheet

No call to find out the price.

The electrical calendar
Storm season, summer
Wind and lightning trip breakers and fry panels across Lake Country all summer. A site and profile that already rank mean the surge in searches after a storm finds you instead of whoever's running ads that week.
New EV, winter into January
People park a new EV in the driveway around the holidays and search for a charger installer in January. A dedicated EV charger page catches that search months before summer.
Remodel season, spring into summer
Kitchen and basement remodels stack up panel upgrades and rewiring work from April through August. Your site should already answer what a panel upgrade costs before the homeowner's general contractor asks who to call.
What I put in writing

If this goes sideways, that's on me, not you.

  • You own everything. Your domain, your listings, your ad accounts, and your content live in your accounts, in your name. Your code, your data, and your phone number are yours by contract and transfer on request, and the continuity kit you get at go-live shows your next developer exactly how. Walk away whenever you want and you keep all of it.
  • Your site is live before the 14-day trial ends, or your first month is free. I don't need a quarter to build a website.
  • If something I built misses the scope we agreed to, I fix it at no extra charge, full stop. And every system gets its first 30 days of tuning included, measured against the goal we set together before I built it. You just answer your calls and send me your photos.
Questions electrical contractors ask

I'm licensed and busy. Why do I need a website?

Busy doesn't mean found. A homeowner with a dead outlet searches first and calls whoever answers that search, licensed or not. If your profile's thin and your site barely exists, the job goes to whoever showed up in the results, not whoever's actually qualified.

Do I need to already be a licensed electrical contractor to sign up?

Wisconsin requires an electrical contractor license to run the business, and the qualifying person on that license has to hold a Master Electrician license through DSPS. The site and automations work the same regardless of what stage your license is at.

What does it cost?

Run is $97 a month, Grow is $297 a month, both with a 14-day free trial and a card on file. Nothing charges until day 15, and you can cancel from your account anytime. If the site's not live before your trial ends, your first month is free.

I already have a website. Why switch?

If it doesn't name panel upgrades or EV chargers, doesn't text back a missed call, and doesn't ask for a review after a job, it's not doing the work a 2019 site was never built to do. I can rebuild it or fold your existing content in, either way it's live before your trial ends.

Do I own the site if I leave?

You can buy it out for $299 anytime and take it with you. Otherwise it's month to month, cancel anytime, no contract holding you in.

Does this help with EV charger installs specifically?

That's one of the reasons Grow includes a new local page every month. EV charger and panel upgrade demand is one of the real growth lines in electrical work right now, and most electrical company sites still don't have a page that mentions either one.
